This is so moving. I find your extraordinary combining of historical research, needlecraft and love and respect for the late and so-lamented Hilary fascinating and, as others have said, inspirational. Your database is a thing of wonder, your calligraphy so fine, and your friendship with Hilary remarkable. I read what I’ve just written, and have to consider whether it’s over the top; but honestly, I don’t think so. Yours is an act of superlative creative homage, and it deserves praise.
Susan - I dont think it’s @ all “ over the top” ( though I may be biased) as I have had very similar feelings of awe & inspiration from Bea’s scholarship & gorgeous stitching.
As a person who suffers from severe osteoarthritis, I can easily understand how difficult it is to live with pain every day, and to remain productive and cheerful can be challenging. Still, I am sure that your research and stitching help a great deal. Best wishes.
You have such a fascinating project, and are doing such a great job keeping track of everything! I hope you feel better soon so you can do the other things you want to do. I understand about physical problems and how they can interfere with daily life.
Hoping you find relief and answers (from tests) soon. You are an inspiration--honestly. I would never have had the nerve to pursue my current projects without witnessing your unceasing love and dedication for your subject. Rest your knee...and try and keep cheerful. ♡

Hoping you get relief from your pain soon, Bea.
You were very much missed yesterday on our Wolf Crawl, I hope the pain eases soon and you’re back on your feet again

You're heroic. Even without dealing with pain.
Maybe Cromwell was one of those who survived on four hours of sleep? Maybe he didn't in fact see all of it?
I, too, want to know what happened to the greyhounds, poor beasts!

I'm sorry you're suffering just now, let's hope it can be sorted and you can get past it.
