In the closing days of 2021 and the opening day of 2022 I stitched along to Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising, a perfect audiobook listen for midwinter, as the story starts on Midwinter’s Eve and finishes on Twelfth Night.
I love The Dark is Rising sequence! The story is so eerie and strange, and I could swear that the last book contains an entirely different story every time I come back to it. I started listening to the BBC audiodrama today, and will listen to and episode each day for the next eleven days. It's perfect for this time of year.

I think it is an amazing series. I have always liked The Grey King very much; but the whole series is so rich.
