By one of those fortunate coincidences I acquired a pristine copy of The Man on the Donkey only yesterday. I was intrigued, having not come across it before, but thought it might make a good companion read to the Wolf Hall read along.

So now I shall be joining you, looking for references to stitching as I read.

So sorry to hear that you are unwell. Stay home, stay warm and rest and let who will sort Christmas festivities. Jx

Get well soon! It's such a bummer not to have energy for the things you love/want to do.

More recommendations to add to my tbr pile, thanks! Hope you feel better soon, I obviously overdid things yesterday myself. 🤗

Get well soon Bea. Hope no kings or Norfolks visit your bedside. I read The Man on the Donkey a few years ago. I found it interesting, although felt it lacked the spark of good storytelling. But it is a good companion to The Mirror and The Light.

Man on a Donkey is one of my favourite books, partly set in one of my favourite places, Arkengarthdale. One of the great historical novels, imho. I hope you enjoy it! (And I hope you get better soon.)
